Dr. Kim Brown is the sweetest, Most compassionate vet I have ever known. Unfortunately I have moved far away. I highly recommend her and the staff. Hard working people.
Highly recommend. Dr Caroline is the nicest vet. She is very knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to help us with a puppy. I can’t say enough great things about these people.
This is a no frills or fancy Veterinary place, but I would not have it any other way. I first took my rescued pet to another supposedly better Vet place and she was misdiagnosed. I then brought her here for the rest of her care. They have really good staff, the prices are very reasonable and they care about the animals they treat. I highly recommend.
Our first time to visit this clinic was Tuesday morning & I should have turned around & walked out the minute we stepped in the door. So many positive reviews, yet its not what we experienced.
Not one person greeted us or introduced themselves upon arrival, the place was run down (old), not clean or organized, & the exam room was very cramped. Our dog was in distress which is why we made the appt in the first place. Once in the room a woman began checking her over while we explained her history. I finally had to ask midstream what her name was. Dr. Brown....who proceeded to tell us they needed to do a blood test to see what was going on...it would be $165. She draws the blood & came back saying she used the 'wrong tube' & had draw it again. At this point the red flags just kept popping up! We waited a while & Dr Brown comes in with another doctor who examined her & he was perplexed. Neither one could diagnose what was wrong. No clue who he was....never got his name & didn't even acknowledge us when he walked in. Our dog went from vibrant, healthy, & spastic to literally bones & lethargic in just 2 days, so clearly it wasn't good. Instead of being upfront & honest with us...they gave us a false sense of hope by saying lets treat the symptoms & see how she does. In other words....she isn't going to make it but we're gonna go with $150 worth of shots & medications of antibiotic, steroid, iron supplements, nausea pills. Huge red flag! I should have stopped it right there! Shame on me! We stated several times she's not eating & we were concerned with all the medications. They just said well you'll need to get her to eat. Seriously? How do we do that? You can't force a dog to eat! We tried everything prior to being there & she wouldn't touch a thing. This dog would eat anything & everything to the point of gorging herself for fear of missing a meal! By this point - exam is done and my husband gets our dog to the car while I pay. They tell me the total & I paid it. I'm handed the invoice & it wasn't until I got in the car that I noticed we were charged $175 for the blood work. Wow! I'm so mad at myself for letting it get that far....I should have gone with my initial instinct & walked out. This place was HORRIBLE!! I would never recommend them to anyone. No compassion, no kindness for our pet or us. Just ran us through a calf chute, took our money & sent us on our way.
Shame on me for not standing up to what was going on. Its now Thursday & our dog is worse then when they saw her. We will most likely have to put her down today if she doesn't pass on her own by the time we get to another vet clinic. I most definitely would never go back to this place. Horrible service & experience!
I called and asked if they did wellness certificates to travel for my dog. The staff told me they did and made an appointment. I paid over $140 and was not given a certificate but only a receipt. I called back to ask if they could email it to me and they said no they didn't do wellness certificates for travel. It would have been nice to know before I spent my money! I called and they told me they did these certificates over the phone before i made the appointment! I am a senior and the reason I came here is because I thought it was more reasonable as I thought it was a county clinic. Wrong information can cost people a lot of money! Now I have to go somewhere else and spend more money so I can take my dog to Mexico.

Our dog Steele tested positive for Parvo. We are super greatful that we were able to bring him back home. Our baby boy was 4 months when this happened. We were SOOO worried, frightened, scared that he wouldn’t make it but thanks to Kaufman Vet and staff our boy is a healthy 1 year old! He survived and couldn’t have without the AMAZING people that helped him day in and night. ❤️
First pic is him now, last two were us visiting him while he was sick.
Only give 5 star because you can't go any higher...Nothing but positive experiences with this clinic for several years now. The office/front staff have always been friendly & helpful..I can't imagine ever being over priced or treated poorly...Its always clean,,,not trying to defend them ,,,bur the last 1 star review was hard to believe..( not saying impossible)....
We've taken our dogs to our Kaufman vet family for more than 13 years now. They are like family, and we trust them with our most valuable family-members :) , our furry ones.
